The Garden of Moments

In this painting, I explore the vitality of nature through a composition where tropical flowers, fruit and ceramics interact with light and colour. Birds of paradise rise from a turquoise vase, while yellow fruit and the deep reds of figs contrast with a quiet palette of lilac and lavender.

I worked primarily with a palette knife, building a richly textured surface through layers of impasto and relief. Geometric fragments shift and overlap parts of the objects, suggesting different moments and viewpoints within a single image.

I am interested in bringing the tradition of still-life painting into a contemporary visual language, where colour and matter acquire a life of their own. Beyond depicting flowers and fruit, I wanted to celebrate the energy of colour and the beauty of simple encounters between light, form and nature.
